Who is she?!
She is a dreamer, she is fighter, she is a singer...
above all she is a crazy but lovely Cat!
She was born in Bari,Italy.
As the "moonlight sonata "begin to play on the record deck she was totally captured.
She start studied classical piano at 8 years old; it last 6years. Then she says:" I choose to follow my inspiration playing by ear and composing my own, simple music." That inspiration came by the sounds of the country she lived in,by several different LPs: '60-'70 pop and rock ;classical masters,soul kings and queens: the family treasure! Then soundtracks from movies, the radio shows but above all the feelings of the moment.
All those things developed the precious creativity and the great ability of variations.
Following the stream she had her "melodic-rock band", but after the first 7songs she felt unsatisfied...She says:" I needed more freedom. My attitude could be satisfied only by something else!but what?" Maestro Dino Petrelli,an excellent pianist and composer in Bari showed her the way: Jazz.
So, she started to study jazz piano,with Maestro Petrelli.A great chance.
Rossella Ressa(soprano)was her first singing teacher, who showed her the rules of the singing art.Then she went to Bologna "the city of music "and gain her BA in DAMS : "Drama, arts and music studies"at the University in Bologna.
In these years she studied vocal techniques with Silvia Vacchi, studing also belcanto technique with Maria Luisa di Turi(soprano) after the degree.
In New York she studied Jazz singing with Gabriela Anders . Actually she is attending the master in Jazz Performance at NYU, studying singing under the excellent guidance of Kristen Ruiz. In Italy she attended : - Summer Jazz Clinics at Umbria jazz, Perugia, Jul. 2006; -Vocal Jazz Workshop with Rachel Gould, Bologna, Mar.2008; -Gospel Workshop with Cedric Shannon Rivers & High Praise Gospel Singers , Bologna, Dec.2008; Berry Harris' workshops NY,2010.
